The information on this page is for the ITU World Paratriathlon/Elite Paratriathlon race ONLY. This is the race taking place on Saturday, June 28, with a start time of 8:30 a.m. and requires that you are registering through your federation. If you are racing in the PC Open category, your race is part of the age-group races taking place on June 29. Race information for all age group races can be found HERE.
The ITU-sanctioned elite paratriathlon race will be the opening event of the ITU World Triathlon Chicago weekend, scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. CT on Saturday, June 28. Paratriathletes will complete a sprint-distance course, which includes a 750-meter swim, 20-kilometer bike and 5-kilometer run. All athletes interested in competing in this race need to have met ITU classification standards. Appointments for classification will be available in the week leading up to the event for athletes who have not been classified under the new ITU standards, announced earlier in 2014.
ITU will reach out to each NF to schedule appointments and provide necessary documentation and information. All athletes wishing to compete in the elite paratriathlon race need to register through their national federation.
Athletes who have made the start list for the elite Paratriathlon race on June 28th need to pay the entry fee.

No cash will be accepted on-site. No wire transfers are allowed. Any athlete who has not paid the entry fee by June 27th cannot pick up their race packet at the athlete briefing.
If anyone needs the LOC to provide them a personal handler, this needs to be communicated to the LOC Paratriathlon coordinator Amanda Duke no later than Thursday, June 19th. If you do not ask for a personal handler by the deadline you will need to coordinate your own.
